The spark for Fashion Fiesta ignited when I attended a captivating show in Edinburgh that celebrated artistic talent and showcased unique fashion creations. Inspired by this event and propelled by various fundraising initiatives, I conceived the concept of Fashion Fiesta. Initially known as Textile Fever, it soon transformed and evolved, revealing its potential to create a lasting impact in the world of fashion.
Throughout my life, I’ve held steadfast to the belief that opportunities should be accessible to all and that inclusivity should be a cornerstone of every endeavour. Growing up in a mixed-race family with Filipino roots, I’ve faced my share of challenges, particularly during the 90s when understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures were less prevalent. These experiences have shaped my commitment to creating a platform like Fashion Fiesta, where everyone’s talents and stories are celebrated, and where diversity is cherished.
Fashion Fiesta is not merely an event; it’s a reflection of my values, a celebration of diversity, and a testament to the belief that fashion is a universal language that transcends boundaries and unites us all.
