We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Community Learning Partnerships for our upcoming event, Fashion Fiesta Identity. Community Learning Partnerships has supported the Leeds community for many years, offering various educational programs and services to empower individuals and families.
About Community Learning Partnerships:
Community Learning Partnerships has a long-standing history of positively impacting the Leeds community. Since its inception, the organisation has been dedicated to widening access to education and providing valuable learning opportunities for people of all ages.
One of their notable achievements was leading an Education Action Zone in 2000, becoming the only voluntary sector organisation in the country to do so. This initiative introduced various extended out-of-school learning opportunities, mentoring schemes, and teacher professional development programs, benefiting schools and communities across Leeds.
Over the years, Community Learning Partnerships has managed the Joint Extended Schools and Services (JESS) cluster in South Leeds, covering neighbourhoods such as Beeston Hill, Holbeck, Belle Isle, and Hunslet. Their Let’s Read project, which began in the late 1990s, continues to thrive today, emphasizing the importance of engaging parents and caregivers in children’s learning journeys.
