Fashion Fiesta Returns to Saltaire for a Spectacular 2026 Showcase

Saltaire, UK, It all started with 50 people in a small room and a big dream. Over a
decade later, Fashion Fiesta is one of West Yorkshire’s most exciting fashion events
and on Friday, 6th March 2026, it’s coming home to Victoria Hall in Saltaire for a
night that promises to be its most spectacular yet. Doors open at 7:00 PM, with the
show kicking off at 7:30 PM.
Founded in 2015 by entrepreneur Rachel Hatfield, originally under the name Textile
Fever. Fashion Fiesta has grown from a grassroots community project into a
platform that has launched real careers. In its very first year, the winner Victoria
Reddington and her brand, Isaac Ava went from the Fashion Fiesta stage to
showcasing at New York Fashion Week. In 2019, Corinne Coolican won with a
collection made entirely from repurposed fabrics, going on to speak at Zero Waste
Leeds Fashion Week. These are not just fashion stories, they are stories of people
who were given a chance and ran with it.
Fashion Fiesta has always been about more than just the catwalk. It’s about people
showing up for each other. Over the years, the event has raised more than £14,500
for local charities, including One In A Million, Simon on the Streets, and PEERS
Yorkshire and all are powered by a team that gives their time for free. For founder
Rachel Hatfield, this work is personal. Growing up in a mixed-race family with Filipino
roots, she learned early on that not everyone gets the same opportunities – and she’s
spent years making sure Fashion Fiesta changes that.
This year’s showcase will bring together emerging designers, stylists, models, and
makeup artists from across West Yorkshire for a high-energy evening of bold
designs, show-stopping runway moments, and sustainable fashion you can take
home on the night. Set against the backdrop of Saltaire, a UNESCO World Heritage
Site built on textile history, there’s no better stage. Fashion once made this village
famous. Fashion Fiesta is making sure it stays that way.
“Every year, I’m blown away by the talent that walks through our doors. We started
with 50 people and a dream, and now we’ve helped launch careers that have
reached New York, London, and beyond. This has never been about us, it’s about
giving people a stage and watching them shine. We can’t wait to see what this year’s
creatives bring to the runway!” says Rachel Hatfield, founder of Fashion Fiesta CIC.
Ticket sales go straight back into the community, funding creative workshops
for aspiring fashion professionals who are just getting started. Whether you love
fashion, you’re creative, looking for your moment, or you just fancy a brilliant night
out, come along. You won’t regret it.
