Through jobs in hospitality and cooking in the farm kitchen, she learned to prepare, cook, and serve food with careful ‘northern’ budgeting!
Passionate about British Farming and sustainable food production, after a university degree in Home Economics, she had a fulfilling 25-year career in food buying, brand strategy and new product development. Travelling the world, sourcing food, researching food trends and building successful brands have given her broad experience and exposure to branding, with “essential Waitrose” being her proudest legacy still on the shelves.
She is delighted to volunteer with Fashion Fiesta and the fantastic CIC, the committee/Rachel has established.
